A review of the medium

From the start, I have been involved with printed images, ink transferred from the rotating drum to the paper medium. And what are letters if not images? Etched into metal plates with chemistry, transferred onto a paper medium by the rotating drum holding the metal sheets, ink meets paper. These cylinder seals made four thousand ± years ago, still roll images onto the clay medium; like the print drum of the present. And with exactitude not lossy despite time and transfer of ownership, the image has been delivered directly just months ago… four thousand years on. (link to Morgan Library video)
